Wellington Museum Visit & LunchOPEN TO MEMBERS, GUESTS & NON-MEMBERS
Join us for a fascinating visit to the Wellington Museum, based in the ancient headquarters of the Duke of Wellington, the future Prince of Waterloo. This is where he slept on the nights of 17 and 18 June 1815, and where he drafted his victory announcement. The 14 museum rooms trace the events of the times, in memory of the nations and troops that took part in the fray.Your €13 museum entrance fee includes an audio guide, and we have about 45 minutes for our visit. (If you have a MuseumPass, entry is free)
Meeting place: We’ll meet up at 10:45 outside the Wellington Museum at 147 Chaussée de Bruxelles, 1410 Waterloo.
Parking: Free parking 🅿️ is available behind the Galeries Wellington. The entrance is off Avenue Reine Astrid into a narrow lane which is called Allée du Bois.
Afterwards, you’re welcome to have lunch at the Brasserie Wellington, 315 Route du Lion, which is opposite the Lion, Panorama and the new museum and battlefield.
