Charity Water Walk No. 10: Sint-Agatha-Rode
OPEN TO MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS
The tenth and final walk in our series of Charity Water Walks will take place in Sint-Agatha-Rode. We hope as many walkers as possible will participate in this Grand Finale.
Meeting at 10.20 for a prompt 10.30 start at Sint-Agathakerk , Leuvensebaan 366, 3040 Huldenberg
Parking: off-road parking alongside Leuvensbaan by the church, plus ample parking at the corner of Leuvensebaan and Potterstraat just 150m to the south of the church .
Jenny will lead us on the Dijle-en Lanewandeling, a “knooppunt” numbered signposts trail of 7.5 km (2 hours). From Sint-Agatha Church, we follow the green valleys of the Dijle and Laan rivers and take paths through woods and meadows.
There are inclines in this walk as we explore higher ground between the river valleys. Hiking shoes/boots are essential as the riverside paths can get muddy.
And finally, Andrea and Gill want to thank all the brilliant walk leaders who organised the incredibly beautiful and interesting walks and for their dedication to raising money for BWC Charities 2022.

Our Charity Walks for 2022
Help make a difference to the lives of people and whether walking or not, please donate to the Charity Water Walks here.
We have two very worthy charities to support in 2022:
- The Community Kitchen provides nourishing food to sustain those who are hungry, homeless, or vulnerable in Brussels. The Community Kitchen works in partnership with other voluntary organisations (Serve the City, Salvation Army) that distribute and serve the food where needed.
- The Mbedza Project in Malawi. As of 2020, 8.1% of the adult population live with HIV, contributing to 978,363 orphaned children. Funds raised through BWC’s efforts would directly support The Songani HIV testing and counselling Centre in Malawi.
