The Vilvoorde walk north of Brussels is a mix of a lovely green area (Domein Drie Fonteinen) and an industrial area on the other side of the canal. There are several recycling industries along the way, showing how advanced Belgium is in this important area.
Walking is mainly on pathways and flat.
We start by walking towards the Brasserie and through the green area to Cypressenweg and then up to the (Chapel) Lendrikkapel. We then make our way out of the Domein on to the road, and cross over the Europabrug to the other side of the canal. We turn right and walk towards Brussels along the canal path. When we reach the Budabrug, we cross over the canal and continue up the road to Bejarlaan, and back into the Domein Drie Fonteinen. Then back to the cars! There is a cafe stop with bathrooms at Gayo cafe by the canal, and a lunch stop at the Brasserie with its big terrace and lovely garden at the end of the walk if you wish.
Please register below regardless of how you make your payment so that we know how many people and dogs are coming. Last minute walkers are welcome and can pay in cash on the day. Free for dogs 😊
