Calling all book lovers! 

Looking forward to seeing you all to discuss some favourite books!  Karen W leads our Book Club.  If you have any questions please register for one date and Karen will get back to you.

It is all very relaxed and chatty and everyone is most welcome. It doesn’t matter if you’re a voracious reader or even if you’re picking up a book for the first time in ages.  

We meet in the Clubhouse, ground floor,  at 13:30 for a 14:00 start.   

Our dates and books are:

February - Tuesday 24 February : we will be discussing ‘The Woman with all the Answers’ by Linda Green proposed by Sheila H who will lead the discussion. 

March  – Tuesday 24 March 

April – Tuesday 28 April 

May – Tuesday 26 May 

June – Tuesday 23 June 

Book suggestions for these meetings are very welcome. It would be very helpful to have book choices for these meetings decided or at least pencilled in as soon as possible. As a group we seem to enjoy a varied selection of books – we are open-minded, willing to explore new authors, genres and styles, whilst also enjoying re-visiting or discovering classics (widely defined), and other established authors. Non-English language books, when well translated, have also broadened our horizons, as have authors from around the world or stories set in other countries. And we do not expect all choices to be loved or even liked by all – indeed part of the pleasure of our book club is the variety of opinions books choices engender. So please don’t be shy.
